About us
I began my journey studying and making my own paints in 2015. This journey eventually led to me starting my own paint line in 2017 and publishing my comprehensive book on the fabled color "Mummy Brown" in 2019. In addition to my handmade paints and my Mummy Brown book I also source antique art supplies of rare and discontinued colors/ brands which can be found in my shop as well.
My paint line focuses on recreating historical/ rare colors using an affordable/ non-toxic/ lightfast/ and durable approach to give the artist a truly modern experience while working with histories most allusive colors without any of their downfalls.
My approach to my handmade art supplies/ vintage art supply sourcing/ and my book are all informed by my own history as a painter. I have been painting in a variety of mediums since 2005 and have a deep appreciation for the history of color and art supplies both.
