This is a great little emergency generator. Looked perfect right out of the box and came with everything it is supposed to. It didn't start up first pull but I really didn't expect it too. Still started up quick though and runs great. This is the kind of generator, if buying for emergency needs will easily keep the fridge running. Can run some smaller appliances like lights, tv, etc. alongside that too, but don't expect to keep your whole house bright and warm with it. Will definitely power most common appliances individually but not enough power for all of it. The generator is a good size. Doesn't take up too much space. Very easy to keep in a garage or something until you need it. It is a little loud and your neighbors will definitely know you have power when they don't but all things considered it was well worth the price.Read full review

I don't know if I got a lemon or what. But the on the I tried would not run an appliance that pulls 600 watts. That's much less than the rated load for this generator. Also, the voltage was really low, average around 109 volts. My Honda 2000 that I bought to replace this will easily handle this load with a lot to spare. All measurements were with a volt meter and cross referenced with a Kill-a-watt. Not just a loud mouth that tried to hook something to this generator that it shouldn't be able to handle. Again, I possibly got a lemon, but wound up returning and buying one of the high dollar Hondas. Based on my experience, I would not recommend to a friend.

Generator runs great and as not as loud as other 2000 watt generators I've owned, very happy with the purchase. I've read reviews and feedback from people that said they couldn't get theirs cranked, it was more than likely a user error, u always have to fill new generators up with oil and always have to tighten the spark plugs, more than likely the people that said they couldn't get theirs cranked probably never checked to make sure the spark plug was tightened

Power output is way over rated. How do you get 1400 running watts from a circuit that is protected by a 8.5 amp breaker. Do the math.

great generator for emergency use in a prolonged power outage. i got mine, added gas and oil, double checked spark plug, wire, any loose parts ( none found ),etc. that sucker fired up on the first pull. ran it for several hours hooked up to my fridge, freezer,tv,computer and lamp. the things you would prioritize in a power outage after a severe weather event. all good.you would need to shuffle things around to use your coffeemaker or microwave as they draw high wattage but it is doable. just remember to plug your fride and freezer back up when finished with the above. i overloaded my generator to see what it would do. circuit breaker tripped and unloaded generator as designed. reset and all resumed ok. great unit.
