Just got mine today and after a couple of hours of use, for me they are great. I've owned a couple of Turtle Beach and Trittons from a variety of price ranges, but in comparison the XO Three are the best I've bought yet for their price, in my opinion. The mic sounds really crisp and my friends say they hear me very clear whether it's in a party or not. It picks up a bit of outside noise but it's mostly loud sounds near you, and I live in a place where there is a lot of noise around me and from what my friends said that doesn't pick up. The sound is amazing since it supports Surround Sound (Xbox One and Windows only). I play all types of games but mostly FPS and I rely a lot on sound, and with these headset I could hear very clear the footsteps of people near me and where they're coming from, and the same was for the direction of gunshots. They have good ear and head padding, and are still comfortable even after a couple of hours of use. Keep in mind they're not top of the market quality; so yeah they have good quality and feel good, but in extensive misuse or anything like it, they would certainly break at one point. The ones I had before this pair were the X50's and I had them for like 2 years and only broke when someone sat on them, and the XO Three feel more sturdy so if you take good care of them they will last. Turtle beach isn't worth it anymore when it comes to audio. Their old X12s sounded almost right up there with bose. The new stuff they sell. Not anymore. Yes, turtle beach USE to put quality into their headsets. I've tried two separate headsets of theirs from their recent line-ups and both were TERRIBLE. I've tried their headsets in the past and thought "well these should be just as good". Their headsets use to have Crisp highs and mids that had depth, clarity and bass that rumbled. Now its just "grainy sound. This has NO USB amplifier that powers it, and it just overall sounds like JUNK. Skip it and go with another brand. I wasted money on this headset kit as I had to purchase their 3.5mm jack adapters for PC, and it sounded just plain, AWFUL. I am washing my hands of turtle beach. Fool me once, shame on them. Fool me twice shame on me. Their return policy is bad. "You pay for return shipping", instead of "we are sorry, you can send them back and we comp you". Not anymore. Skip it and go elsewhere.Read full review

I bought this for my son's Xmas gift. We're very disappointed. The microphone does not work at all. I've taken it out and put it back in. The made sure the 'mute' button was off. It finally worked for a couple of hours. Then it stopped working again. He's so sad. The headphones sound is good. Sadly, that doesn't help much when he can't talk to any of his friends online. Is it possible to receive a replacement set or at least a replacement microphone? Thank you.

Had my doubts, but they work great and are nice and get nice and loud. Audio and voice recordings are crystal clear. I paid $18, new. Cant beat it.
