Normally Dyson products are out of my price range. But when I could get one for about the same price as lowered priced rivals I decided to give one a try. The V6 Fluffy is still new to our household and is working great so far. The suction is superior to our previous stick vac, the accessories very easy to change, and the hopper easy to empty. The filter can be cleaned/changed in a snap as well. It could be more comfortable ergonomically. It's versatility challenges it's ergonomic design when in certain positions. Because it's new I personally can't comment on reliability, but reliability ratings from other reviewers are solid.

Have only used the vacuum a few times. I bought it mainly for our hardwood floors. We have runners in our hallways and the head is too wide to fit between the carpeting and the baseboard. Have to turn it different ways to fit. The head is also too tall to fit under some objects that need to be cleaned. I also find the weight of the motor to be quite tiresome toward the end of my cleaning.

The new type of roller seems to grab the dirt quickly. It gets close to walls and edges. Very powerful. The power doesn't last very long. Keep charging it up before using. Less than 15 minutes. Did kitchen, family room and half bath, then power stopped. Charges quickly. Dead to full 3 hours. Haven't had it die on me yet, but it is cordless.

My wife and I absolutely love it, especially since we now have hardwood throughout our house. We both vacuum our house but when it came to the steps, it was too hard for her to carry the corded shark vacuum up and down. With the Dyson V6 Fluffy, it makes it so much easier to vacuum the house in it's entirety. With all of the attachments, this vacuum is just an all around great product. It's the best vacuum we've owned since we purchased our house. I highly recommend this vacuum!

For the price I paid this is an excellent vacuum, but I paid 150, not 299, and for that price I would not have been happy with the inferior power compared to most plug in vacuums. If you have a small house, this is a great choice, even more so if you mostly have hardwood or vinyl flooring, as the Fluffy attachment is excellent at scrubbing dirt up. Keep in mind this is the model that is harder to empty as the canister does not slide down to push debris out. PRO: - light weight - good attachments - more convenient than a plug in vacuum - amazing for cleaning out the car or furniture - Wall mount makes it easy to store and charge CONs: - cost if you don't get it on a good sale - dog hair and long human hair gets caught up in canister and roller - not easy to empty when debris does not fall to the bottom of the canister - Listed battery life is accurate, 6 min at high power, the most useful setting - Not as loud as a normal plug in, but seems louder with the motor so much closer to you - will not stand on its own, and is top heavy making it prone to falling when leaning against something.Read full review
