They really put some work on the Gold edition and apparently enhanced its durability on materials used. Last one owned whas the blue gold and all the rubber came off after a year of use. You get great sound, cool ps4 notification features and still no extended mike, not that I mind anyway. It has comfy ear cuffs and some noise cancelling, meaning you can concentrate more on loud enviroments. The battery life may still be an issue to heavy users has it roughly reaches the 6-7 hours usage on all audio and chat. If new, it can be a little unconfortable until they expand upon usage (the headband can give you headaches) *Only tested on a PS4 on normal enviroment

I have listened to media/music with them and I don’t know why PlayStation or well I guess Sony does have great headphones like these but for this price is amazing.
