I have an old Huawei 5x phone that has worked flawlessly for 5 years, so I decided to try the Matebook D as I needed an economical thin and light laptop for travel. So far everything about the product seems great. It is heavier than the more expensive Matebook X and MS Surface, but it is a very nice size, very thin and reasonably lightweight. It has a nice metal shell makes it look more expensive than it is. Touch screen is very nice with a thin bezel at the sides, and I've received compliments from several people about this. My wife has a Macbook air and this Matebook D looks nicer in my opinion. Boots up very quickly and for the business uses I have, I think the speed will be more than adequate. Huawei did a nice job on the original packaging for shipping - looks like you would get for an expensive Apple computer. Battery life seems reasonable so far. Too early for me to comment extensively on this, but if I get 6-8 hours per charge that will meet my needs as it seems to recharge quickly. There may be other products that offer similar features for the price, but so far I have no regrets about this purchase.Read full review

It's a great machine. It's not perfect though. Wish the track pad and keyboard were a bit better (i think the newer models from the YT reviews tweaked it a bit). It's not bad, but it's not great xD The battery life is decent 6 hours. Wish it was 8+ Also wish it was a pound lighter and a 2 in 1. But other than those nitpicks, it's a great fast beautiful machine. Beautiful screen (IPS), HDMI output, USB-C charging, backlit keyboard, and has a discreet graphics (Vega 8) for non intensive gaming. (The nvidia 150 or 250 would be better, and newer models have it.) For $600 it's great. It's got the same specs as $1200 computers. The "perfect" laptop doesn't exist quite yet. It'll hold me over for the next 3 years. Also 14" screen in a 13" chassy is great, and the 3:2 ratio is my favorite. I've tried a few laptops, and this was the best of the bunch. (and the price point is a bonus).Read full review

I would highly recommend this product! It honestly does not operate or feel at all like a computer that is under $500. The graphics on this thing are second to none, and it is lightning fast. I've never been so content with a purchase!

I couldn't find a better laptop for the price. The build quality is comparably to many high end laptops. The ryzen 5 2500u is fast, and it's Vega 8 graphics allow for some light gaming. I don't think it gets much better than this for the price.

Excellent product. Battery life is superb, around eight hours of web-surfing. The build quality of the laptop is excellent, on-par with $1000+ computers, and the performance of the Ryzen APU is great. CPU performance is comparable to the i5-8520u in lightly-threaded applications and the i7-8550u in heavily-threaded usage. The Vega 8 IGP blows away the Intel UHD 620 and performs about as well as the Nvidia MX130. The laptop runs cool and quiet. Every little detail, from screen quality to speakers, is on-par with laptops priced hundreds of dollars higher than this.
