If you need 40x magnification packed in a reasonably small device, than that's the one. Two LED sources positioned very cleverly (at a 45 angle) powered by 3 AAA batteries is an excellent, long lasting and cheap solution. In spite of the size (bulkier than most common ones), I prefer this battery type compared with the use of smaller, button batteries. Plastic loupe itself feels of good quality and is nicely sunk within the plastic casing, being harder to smear or accidentally scratch its surface. Fits nicely in the hand. There is actually no clear flaws, would be nice if some kind of hole (attachment ring) would exist (to insert a lanyard and hang it around neck) but this can be easily done DIY (see pictures). Another thing is, would love to see this product in larger diameter sizes and different magnifications (20x, 30x and 40x). Shortly, a product close to a best value for very modest price, will purchase more for my entomology classes, ideal for students attending morphology of small sized animals, like insects !Read full review

Really good quality look, feel and function. Really strong magnification for the price. LED actually too strong, use 3 AAA batteries if that gives you a clue. I can't use the light on reflective surfaces. A low power LED and watch battery would have worked better.
