This monitor gives an excellent image and the freesync works as advertised up to a 100 Hertz with some Headroom for overclocking, However, the build quality is lacking. Mine arrived with the right side of the LCD panel protruding out from the protective frame/casement. At first I didn't notice it but it became apparent when I saw a little light bleed coming out from in between the case and the panel itself. I figured it was acceptable for the price, but not too long after using my DP cable the monitor started to blackout randomly and for some periods of time as short as 5 Seconds to as long as 10 seconds making gaming impossible. Changing out the display port cable did not help and through simple process of elimination it was determined it was a defective monitor. Monoprice has stood by their product thankfully and an RMA has been set up and I am waiting on the replacement. I'll update this review Once the replacement arrives and has been tested. Can't upload photos as I've already boxed up the item and it's been shipped out. Update: Sadly after receiving the RMA replacement it still suffers from the same Random blackout issues. Again after checking and rechecking all of my equipment even replacing my DP cable with a 1.4 high end shorter cable and USING AMD RADEON settings to increase sync voltage over the DP cable the blackout issue persists. Now I am RMAing for a 3rd time. This is an extreme inconvenience to me because I no longer have a replacement monitor as I sold my old one and Monoprice refuses to do a cross shipment. If I could get my money back I would, I'm going to contact eBay and ask them if they can step in and help.Read full review

Ok so for a 34" curved super wide monitor you can't beat the price. It arrived fast with no dead pixels. I hooked it up with the provided cable and got 100hz refresh rate so everything working well. Mind you the 100hz refresh rate will only work on HDMI 3 or Display port. HDMI 2 and 1 are older versions of HDMI. So I am happy with this purchase. Now for the nitpicking. The front emblem was on crooked. So I thought hey its a sticker so I'll just take it off. I took it off to find another emblem etched into the housing. I actually just found this hilarious. So its a rebranded monitor. Which is fine it was just funny. It is bezeless on the top and sides. However the fitment of the panels, especially on the bottom is pretty weak. There are gaps at the seems that are way larger than I have seen on anything built in the 21st century. No big deal again because all I care is its functionality. And for the price you expect some corners to be cut. Speakers work but are really weak. Just assume you won't be using them because the are really weak. Remote control was I nice added touch. HDR doesn't work great but that is an issue for all but the most expensive monitors. The back is this awful textured plastic, kind of like a bedliner for a truck. But its in the back so who cares. Overall I would absolutely recommend this monitor for an average consumer. I can't tell how good the color reproduction is because I don't have a calibrating tool yet. But with my eye calibrator its not bad. I am very happy with my purchase. Gaming was really nice with no noticable tearing despite having a GTX 1080 and not being able to use Freesync.
